VHS tapes deteriorate rapidly, in fact, most estimates only give them about 20 years of life. Bring them to us, we’ll professionally dub them and give them back to you on a DVD and a thumb drive for long term archival storage.

Roots Family History™ believes that the memories stored on MiniDV tapes are too special to lose. That’s why we transfer them to DVDs and thumb drives. MiniDV tapes don’t last long. In fact, most estimates only give them about 20 years of life. Drop them off at our shop, we’ll dub them and return them to you on a DVD and/or a thumb drive for long term preservation.


Mini-DV-to-DVD

Sony’s answer to the Super VHS format was Hi8. It carried more bandwidth than Video 8 which made them great for recording home movies. Roots Family History™ archives and preserves Hi8 tapes by converting them to DVDs and thumb drives. Our Boise shop is dedicated to professional dubbing of Hi8 tapes. Come check us out.
