Our process digitally preserves the contents of practically any audio medium directly into digital editing software where we master your new CDs, render high quality MP3 files, and save recordings to thumb drives.

Yes, that’s actually what we recommend.
Can you transfer reel to reel audio tapes to thumb drives as MP3 files?
Yes, of course.
Can you transfer vinyl records to thumb drives as MP3 files?
Yes, indeed.
How long does it take to transfer audio tapes, reel to reel tapes, and vinyl records to MP3 files or CDs?
Typically, our turn around time is about a week. However, we will give you an exact turnaround time when you come in to our shop as the timing will vary according to our back log of orders.
Can you edit portions of audio recording out?
Yes, we can do full audio post production.
How much does post production on my recordings cost?
$75 per hour billed in 15 minute increments. We can get a lot done in an hour so tell us what you need done and we’ll work with you. Post production is a service that you’ll need to come in to our studio to do with our technician. Please call us or visit us in person to schedule an appointment.
Can you fix poorly recorded audio cassettes, reel to reel tapes, and/or vinyl?
Usually, but it totally depends on the problem. We can repair most audio defects heard in typical audio recordings. Audio restoration falls within the scope of our audio post production services so see the previous question for pricing details.
What if I want uncompressed (WAV) audio files instead of MP3 files?
We can accommodate that. We have worked with multiple government agencies, television networks, and museums who require completely raw audio files. Plan on file sizes of up to 3 or 4 times larger than MP3 when ordering uncompressed recordings.
What if my audio tape or reel to reel cassette needs splicing?
We can repair broken tape in our studio at a rate of $10 per repair.
Can you repair broken cassettes?
Yes, the repair fee is $10 per audio tape.
